Why is my phone being denied access to wifi? ›

If you are trying to install a software on your computer and encounter the "Access Denied" error, you might feel frustrated and confused. This error usually means that you do not have the required permissions or privileges to perform the installation.

If Wi-Fi is not working on your phone, it might be too far away from your modem, or there's something in the way (like a concrete or metal wall). Try moving closer to the modem to see if that fixes it. If it does, you may need to change the location of your modem to provide a better everyday Wi-Fi connection.

The Access Denied error message appears when someone attempts to access a page they don't have permission to view. There are a variety of scenarios in which this error message can be displayed.

Network reset removes any network adapters you have installed and the settings for them. After your PC restarts, any network adapters are reinstalled, and the settings for them are set to the defaults. Select Start > Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset.

When Wi-Fi is connected but there's no internet access on a single device, the issue often lies with the device's network settings, a faulty Wi-Fi adapter, or outdated drivers. It could also be due to incorrect IP configuration or DNS cache problems specific to that device.

If you're having device connectivity issues, restart your devices, check your network adapter and try repairing or replacing hardware and checking for viruses. If you have an issue with your internet provider, first check if there are any internet outages in your area, then call your ISP.

Ensure that your router or modem have the latest firmware available. Check the network cables between your computer and the router and between the router and the modem to ensure that they are plugged in and do not show signs of damage. Contact your ISP if you are at home.

Try this: Plug an ethernet cable into your router and see if you're able to get a signal on a desktop or laptop. If you can't, your access has been cut and you should contact your ISP. If you're able to load web pages through a hardwired connection, there's definitely something wrong with your Wi-Fi network.

Please note that WiFi has a maximum number of devices that can connect to the WiFi network. So, if the number of users accessing the network exceeds the maximum number, the router will be overloaded and deny access to the device to maintain its performance.

The error message mostly occurs if you do not have sufficient permissions set to access the network drive or you have enabled “password protected” sharing. First, make sure the “password protected” sharing is turned off on the computer.

Step 1 Select the file or folder and right-click it to select Properties. Then click Security tab. Step 2 Click your name under Group or user names, and you can see permissions you have. Step 3 Select all boxes under Allow and click OK and Apply.
