Best Internet Providers in Orlando, FL
Orlando’s best internet provider is AT&T Fiber. AT&T actually offers two types of internet in Orlando: Fiber internet (AT&T Fiber) and IPBB internet, which is similar to DSL (AT&T Internet). The one you want is AT&T Fiber, which offers lightning-fast speeds up to 5 Gbps and has plans that start at $55 per month.
Another excellent option is Quantum Fiber, which is Orlando’s other fiber internet provider. Quantum’s speeds and reliability are excellent, and its customer satisfaction rates are pretty good, too. It’s hard to go wrong with either of the city’s two fiber providers — if you can get either of them, you’ll be in very good shape!
If fiber isn’t an option for you, we’d recommend one of the city’s two cable internet providers as a fallback. Unlike most cities, Orlando is served by two different cable providers. If this makes it sound like you have a choice, however, prepare for disappointment: Spectrum serves 90.6% of Orlando and Xfinity serves 29.3%, and there’s virtually no overlap between the two. Expect to find one — and only one — of the two cable providers available in your area of Orlando.
While we don’t recommend them as highly as we do AT&T Fiber and Quantum Fiber, we do consider Spectrum (up to 1 Gbps, prices starting at $49.99 per month) and Xfinity (up to 1 Gbps, prices starting at $30 per month) to be solid options in Orlando. If you can’t get fiber, consider these cable providers before you consider DSL, 5G home internet, or satellite internet.

Fastest Internet Providers in Orlando, FL
Florida High Speed Internet is the fastest provider in Orlando, with speeds up to 10 Gbps.
When it comes to speed, Quantum Fiber is the best option in town — it can reach a speed up to 5 Gbps.
The truth is, however, that most customers don’t need speeds of multiple gigabits per second (Gbps). A speed of just 1 or 2 Gbps is already blazingly fast and more than enough for most households (in fact, for some households, even 500 Mbps can feel very fast). Households with less demanding internet needs can get by with 250 Mbps or — in some cases —even less, though this won’t necessarily feel “fast” to users.
We’d recommend shopping for speeds in the 500 Mbps – 2 Gbps “sweet spot,” unless you have very demanding home internet needs. And don’t forget about your Wi-Fi router, which needs to be fast enough to communicate those speeds to your actual internet-connected devices!

Internet Availability in Orlando, FL
Orlando has more major internet providers than most cities, but you won’t necessarily be able to choose between all of them. Depending on your area of Orlando, your cable provider may be Spectrum or Xfinity, and you may have access to fiber internet from Quantum Fiber or AT&T Fiber.
On the fiber internet front, you can expect to find Quantum mostly to the northeast of Downtown Orlando —it serves neighboring Winter Park and its coverage gets past the city line and into neighborhoods like Baldwin Park. You may also be able to get Quantum near the city line College Park, in the north of Orlando. Quantum serves areas to the west and south of Orlando, too, but its footprints in places like Winter Garden and Horizon West don’t actually reach into Orlando proper.
AT&T Fiber, for its part, is strongest in the southern and western parts of Orlando. Look for it in neighborhoods like South Orange, near the medical center, and over in Englewood Park and Ventura.
On the cable front, you’ll find that Spectrum serves virtually all of Orlando proper. Xfinity, on the other hand, is found mostly around the fringes, including in the narrow strip of Orlando that connects the city to its airport, near Conway. If you have an Orlando mailing address in this area, you’ll probably have access to Xfinity.
