How do I complete a course?
Completing courses with Nursing CE Central is very simple. Simply read and learn the material, complete the brief survey, then click Mark Complete to testify you have read and learned the material.
Your certificate is instantly available on the My Certificates page and is also automatically emailed to you.
How much continuing education do I need to renew my nursing license?
This varies by state and license type, please visit out CE requirements page. We have all state requirements listed by license type.
Does obtaining continuing education renew my license?
Not quite! You will need to renew your license with your board of nursing. Obtaining Continuing Education is a requirement that must be complete prior to renewal in most states.
Who accredits Nursing CE Central as continuing education provider?

What is Nursing CE Central's refund policy?
Nursing CE Central is happy to offer you a refund if the courses do not meet your state licensing requirements or if you have purchased but not completed any education.
If you have enrolled with us and our courses do not meet your state licensing requirements, please contact our support team to request a refund.

Are courses automatically reported to my board of nursing?
Most state boards of nursing do not allow CE providers to send course completions directly to them.
Nurses must submit certificate information upon renewal per your state BON’s policy.

When are course completion reported to CE Broker?
We report to CE Broker immediately after course completion. If you don’t see your completion data on CE Broker, please contact our support team.
My license number or name are incorrect on my certificate.
You can update your name by going to the Take Courses page and clicking Update Account Details under your name.
You can update your license information by going to the Take Courses page and clicking Edit under Your Licenses
After updating your information, please return to the My Certificates page to view your corrected certificate.
Courses and Certificates
Are the courses timed?
No. The number of contact hours is calculated based upon an average learner. It may require more or less time from you. We do not track the amount of time you spend in a course or on the website.
Is a test required for certificates?
No, there are no tests. You simply read the material and certify that you have read and learned the material. Once this is complete your certificate is available immediately.
The only exceptions to this are for Florida and Ohio state-required courses.
These Boards of Nursing require that there be a test at the end of theses courses:

How do I complete a course and recieve my certificate?
Completing courses with Nursing CE Central is a seamless process. Simply read and learn the material, then click “complete” to testify you have read and learned the material.
Your certificate is automatically available under “my certificates” and is also automatically emailed to you.
What happens if I lose my certificate?
No worries! We keep your certificates on file for 5 years.
We always recommend that you download and save your certificates, but we can retrieve them for you at any time.
I am unable to view my certificate after completing the course.
Please ensure that you are logged in and clicked Mark Complete after you read the course material.
If you are still unable to view your certificate, please contact our support team.
Where can I view my certificates?
You can view your certificates by going to the My Certificates page.
Your certificates are also emailed to you automatically upon course completion.
What is the expiration date on my certificate?
The expiration on the certificate is not the certificate expiration date.
The certificate is valid for the entire renewal period in which it is completed.
The expiration date that you see is for our ANCC accreditation, meaning that as long as the completed date is before the ANCC expiration, the certificate is valid and accredited by the ANCC.
We will renew our ANCC accreditation prior to the expiration date, and you do not need to do anything.

You are eligible for a refund of the $41.99 automatic renewal charge as long as you haven’t completed any additional courses since the charge was made.
