Dr. Kakossian graduated Medical School with Honors and Distinction in 1991. She completed an exchange fellowship program at Columbia University, NY in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She graduated as Chief resident in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Lutheran Medical Center, NY.Dr. Kakossian has done extensive research in Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgery for different gynecologic conditions and produced many publications in this field. She was trained by and operated with the professor and founder of Laparoscopic Surgery Dr. H. Reich at Columbia University, NY. She lectured at International Conferences of Gynecologic Surgeons in Las Vegas, Miami, Montreal, and Atlanta and demonstrated the latest advances in Laparoscopic surgery in Moscow, Russia.Women’s Health has always been of primary interest of Dr. Kakossian. She created the most rewarding private practice where she enjoys a special bond with her patients while caring for them through pivotal moments of their …lives. "This is my first time ever to write a review...I visited office over a month ago and still under impression that I was cheated. There were no doctor in the office, just PA which no one warned me before.After visit I was told that in the week after I will get a call with my test result, but never got a call and when I called back stuff told me that I have to schedule an appointment to hear test results and pay again . I just asked them to send all results to my primary doctor and since they never did that every time I call, they hang up on me. So rude and unprofessional!"

"Usually don't write reviews but have to for this one. Dr. Irene Kakossian herself is a great doctor and I really enjoyed my appointment. However, her front office staff specifically told me that they take my insurance TWICE during my first appointment here, and I just received an EOB for her as an out-of-network doctor. I am blown away by the blazing incompetence of this front staff. Maybe the woman who was working doesn't realize that her mistakes can cost people thousands of dollars, but then she probably shouldn't be working with people, let alone in a medical office. I will be happy to update this review once her office gets back to me with an explanation of how they are going to sort this out. Until then, I cannot recommend this doctor because of her dumpster fire of a front office staff."

"a minute agoThis was the worst doctor visit ive had during my pregnancy. The front desk receptionist was the only positive. When I went to her office, the nurse who took my blood opened all the sterile materials and set the down on a dirty counter before using them on me, the actual doctor was late so I was made to wait, when she actually did see me again the sterile swabs and such she was using to put inside my body were removed from their sterile packaging and left sitting in a filthy stand when I entered the room, while my legs were in stirrups and while she had the sonogram wand inside of me she was leaning on my knee/thigh (essentially having her armpit on my leg while I'm in stirrups). After all that she told me I couldn't work (got a second opinion, I can) and gave me a referral. The referral she gave me was for a first trimester screening for down syndrome and such, and when I called the number she gave me for the referral they said they didn't work with dr.kakossian because she ...
