OverviewSUMMER 2024 NURSE EXTERN PROGRAMMercy HospitalWe are excited to be offering our Summer Nurse Externship Program. This program gives nursing students the opportunity to work in the hospital with members of the healthcare team. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical & critical thinking skills as you build your confidence as a nursing professional. Our Nursing Education team will support you and facilitate a robust learning experience.
You will participate as a member of the Mercy Hospital Nursing team in the delivery of compassionate patient care.
Job DetailsOur Nurse Externs
Observe care in Specialty Areas
Perform skills similar to a nursing assistant, including but not limited to taking vital signs, performing blood glucose monitoring and bladder scanning.
Promote a positive patient experience.
Be a member of the healthcare team
Attend many nursing education programs
Other exciting experiences
Requirements
Enrolled in a BSN program with completion of Nursing Fundamentals
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association.
Salary RangeUSD $23.43 - USD $23.43 /Hr.
