My kitchen is pretty small, and there's not enough counter space for all the appliances. So I prioritize - and I prioritize my air fryer. This air fryer toast recipe is just one more testament to the air fyer being the best appliance ever.

- The crispiest toast, like you've never had before!
- Super easy and done in just 3 minutes
- Use fresh or frozen bread - both work just as well!
What you need to make it
![Air Fryer Toast (2) Air Fryer Toast (2)](https://i0.wp.com/alwaysusebutter.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/air-fryer-toast-ingredients.jpg)
Ingredient notes
- Toast bread - any type of bread; white bread, sourdough, whole wheat bread, gluten-free bread... Fresh or frozen!
- Tooth picks to avoid the bread flying into the fan. If your bread is thicker you might not need them, and not all air fryers seem to cause even thin slices of toast to fly around. But better safe than sorry!
How to make them
![Air Fryer Toast (3) Air Fryer Toast (3)](https://i0.wp.com/alwaysusebutter.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/how-to-make-air-fryer-toast.jpg)
- Stick the tooth picks into the crusty bottom of a slice of bread
- Stick the other half into the bottom of another slice - to make them stick together
- Place the stuck-together bread slices in your air fryer basket
- Air fry until crispy and golden, then top immediately with butter!
Tips & tricks
- No need to preheat your air fryer for this one
- Don't defrost frozen bread - cook it straight from frozen, just add 1 more minute
- Toast in a single layer - avoid overlap
- If your slices are thicker add an extra minute
- Cook time can vary with different air fryers
- Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days - but I recommend not air frying more than you will finish
