Do I have to lie Lies of P? ›

From what we know, Lie System in Lies of P will affect endings. Throughout your travels in the city of Krat, you will encounter NPCs and scenario where you will have to choose to tell the truth, or come up with a lie. Your choices will affect your Endings, Achievements, and NPC results.

If you've acquired enough humanity, a cutscene will trigger that shows P's hair color changes to grey and the message "Your Heart is Pounding" will display after the cutscene.

In order to obtain the Golden Lie in Lies of P, players will have to follow these steps: Never tell the truth for any of the decisions in the game; always choose to lie. This will allow Pinocchio to gain Humanity and eventually turn the P-Organ into an actual beating human heart.

Return to Hotel Krat and visit the Portrait of a Boy hanging inside Geppetto's office. You will find that a long, golden staff has grown out from the painting... right on top of the boy's nose. Pick up the staff to aquire the secret weapon, the Golden Lie.

P, our main character, is unique in that he can lie, unlike most puppets. The more he chooses to lie, the more he leans toward being human, eventually affecting his appearance. At a certain point in the game, you'll start to notice P's hair is long if you've been consistently choosing to lie.

If you end up only telling the truth, you'll see what has been described as the “good/neutral” ending. The so-called “real” conclusion can be achieved by only lying, so I would recommend deciding right at the start what kind of playthrough you want to go for.

You'll arrive at what will become your base hub just after you defeat the Lies of P Parade Master boss and, if you say you're a puppet at the Hotel Krat door you don't get in, simple as that.

You need to have your humanity at the maximum level as well (it increases when you listen to records for the first time and when you lie). I think the game will say your "heart is pounding" when you reach max humanity. You should be able to get the golden lie staff on the painting too.

If players choose not to kill Sophia, they do not lose anything, but they gain nothing either. Sophia continues to help P from the beyond, although no one can really tell what becomes of her. On the other hand, giving Sophia peace is the right choice. To put her out of her misery is a kind, human decision.

Over the course of Lies of P's narrative, Geppetto is revealed to be an evil, selfish, and manipulative figure, who aspires to revive his son above by any means necessary. Geppetto holds a grudge against the city and the people who took his son from him and uses P to put an end to any future threat they may pose.

How to get golden records Lies of P? ›

Golden Records

After completing the game you'll be able to start a New Game+. When you do, you can buy golden records from the Wandering Merchants scattered through Krat.

Continue on to defeat the Boss Laxasia the Complete, or Boss Black Cat if you choose to. Return to Rosa Isabelle Street Entrance, from the Stargazer head down to the shortcut gate to find Test Subject 826 to purchase the Record from him.

To obtain this ending, players will want to tell the truth throughout the game, including telling Simon Manus that they liberated Sophia from Arche Abbey rather than giving her peace. Finally, players must refuse to give Geppetto Pinocchio's heart at the end of the game.

1 Puppet Ripper

The Puppet Ripper might be the most devastating fully Technique-based weapon in Lies of P. Like all other special weapons, you must first defeat a certain boss and bring its Ergo to Alidoro. In this case, the target is the Puppet King of the Estella Opera House.
