You only need a few simple ingredients to master this holiday martini recipe :

Unsweetened almond milk – choose oat milk or vanilla plant milk, whichever you prefer. Make sure the milk is unsweetened.

Peppermint extract – to make it taste like a real candy cane in a glass.

Vanilla extract

Vanilla or cake vodka (optional) – you can also skip this and make it alcohol free by adding in just the vanilla extract.

Heavy cream

Simple syrup

Crushed candy canes – to rim the glass.

Wedge of lemon – to rim the glass.

HOW TO MAKE CANDY CANE MARTINI

  • Add crushed ice to fill a martini glass.
  • Crush the candy canes in a food processor, transfer them into a shallow tray. Wet the rim of martini glasses with a liquid then roll the rim around in a tray of crushed candy canes. Use wedge of lemon to do so.
  • In a shaker mix almond milk, heavy cream, simply syrup, vanilla extract, peppermint extract and vodka if using.
  • Pour over crushed ice and serve.
